Alright, so the first thing we need to do in order to get GPS signal on this is, we are going to cast our Deeper out. Because right now, I am not eating up any batteries, nothing like that. This thing isn’t yet, till it hits the water. So I need to get it turned on by throwing it into the water. And then after that, I’m going to let it, just a couple feet or yards from the bank. And just right now on my phone, it’s blinking red for the GPS signal. I need to get that to set to green. So drop it in the water, get it powered on, and get my GPS signal.
Oh, I got to set my drag on there, it’s a little light! So we toss it out. Here we go! Great thing is, even a colorblind guy like me. I can tell the difference between the red and the green on this screen. All right, so we are good to go here. We know Deeper pro plus is ready to roll. What I want to do, I don’t want just keep throwing this thing over the same point to bring it the back. That’s not going to build my map, certainly, not quickly. So what I want to do is, sort of fan out my cast and cover this whole area, as well as I can. When you watch your phone or whatever device you’re viewing the deeper feedback on, it’s building the map.
It will show you that swath that the cone is making, as it’s doing its reading under the water. So it will show you how wide that is. And basically what you want to do is, just pick out a point across the lake, you know, here’s where I am going to start. So I watch that, I get a reading of it. When I get it all the way reel back into me, and then I am just going to pick another spot. In this case, I am going to work left to right and I pick another spot just a little bit further off to the right. Cast it out reel it back in, and you will watch your map start to build off of that, as you fan this out. Try to cover this whole thing. It’s hilarious!
